The arrival of a baby is an upheaval, but childbirth is also an intense physical ordeal for the infant.
Whether born vaginally or by caesarean, the baby undergoes significant pressures that can create tension in the skull, pelvis, or spine. Thatās where osteopathy comes in.
When to consult for your baby?
Here are the signs that can alert you:
Digestive disorders: Colic, frequent regurgitation (GERD), constipation.
Sleep disorders: Baby cries a lot, seems uncomfortable lying down.
Torticollis & Plagiocephaly: He always turns his head to the same side or has a 'flat head' at the back.
Difficulties with breastfeeding: Difficulty opening the mouth or sucking.
A gentle and secure approach
As an osteopath trained in pediatrics, I use exclusively soft techniques (tissue and cranial). There is no 'cracking' (thrust) in the baby. The manipulations are imperceptible and aim to restore mobility to the tissues so that baby feels better.
