Ice hockey is widely known as one of the most physically demanding sports in the world. The speed, the high-impact collisions, and the sheer intensity of the game put incredible stress on the human body.
Recently, I had the privilege of traveling to Grenoble, France, to work directly with the Brûleurs de Loups (BDL), one of the country's top professional hockey teams.
Behind the Scenes of High-Level Performance
Stepping into the locker room of a pro team is a unique experience. The goal isn't just to "fix" a pain; it’s about optimizing performance and ensuring that a player can get back on the ice at 100% capacity as quickly as possible.
During my time with the team, I focused on:
Acute Trauma Management: Dealing with the immediate aftermath of shocks and falls.
Mobility & Biomechanics: Ensuring that the hips, spine, and shoulders are moving freely to prevent future injuries.
Deep Recovery: Helping the nervous system calm down after the extreme adrenaline of a match.
Why Does This Matter for You?

You might be asking yourself: "I’m not a professional hockey player, so how does this apply to me?"
The truth is, the principles of osteopathy remain the same, whether you are an elite athlete or an office worker suffering from back pain.
Treating professional athletes requires precision, speed of diagnosis, and a global understanding of the body. These are the exact same standards I apply to every consultation. Whether you are a runner in Caesarea, a surfer in Or Akiva, or a parent carrying a toddler, your body deserves the same level of expert care.
Bringing This Expertise to Or Akiva
I am thrilled to be bringing this "field experience" to Israel. My goal is to make high-level osteopathic care accessible to everyone in the region.
I will be opening my new clinic in Or Akiva (HaYovel Neighborhood) in July 2026. I look forward to helping you reach your own peak performance—whether that means running a marathon or simply living a pain-free daily life.
See you soon,
Yitzhak David Osteopath D.O. (France)
